Aurora Nova Ltd. is a Calgary advisory practice for energy and critical-minerals companies, bringing major-project discipline to the ventures that need to get from a whiteboard concept to a board-ready investment case.
Working with junior developers, project sponsors and private capital across energy, energy transition and critical minerals.
Front-end loading: the phases where most of a project’s value is set, and rarely recovered later.
Concept to first investment decision with stage-gate discipline: owner-side feasibility and FEED support, offtake and multi-party negotiation, and getting a project into the shape financing and strategic partners need to see.
Framing the decision before the analysis starts, making trade-offs explicit, and giving boards a defensible basis for committing capital under real uncertainty.
Economic and financial models, scenario analysis and trade-off studies, built to be interrogated rather than admired.
Aurora Nova is led by Logan Harris, P.Eng., a professional engineer and certified decision professional with roughly eighteen years at ExxonMobil and Imperial Oil, spanning field engineering in Cold Lake thermal heavy oil through director-level roles in drilling and field development, corporate innovation, and global new ventures for the company’s low-carbon business. He is also a deliberate early adopter of AI and digital tooling in his own practice.
Engaged through Aurora Nova Ltd. and reporting to the CEO of LithiumBank Resources Corp. (TSXV: LBNK), building the project development function for direct lithium extraction brine assets from the ground up.
Aurora Nova takes on selected engagements alongside its current work.
Based in Calgary, working with clients across Canada and internationally. Most engagements start with a short conversation about the decision you’re facing.
Current commitments preclude work with businesses engaged in the exploration, development, production or processing of lithium from brine.
